Neighbor to Neighbor is a not for profit 501 C 3 under the umbrella of the Northshire Interfaith Council.  We have a hard working Steering Committee of 12 individuals and we support ourselves by doing an annual appeal, community awareness, fundraising events and grant writing. We serve eleven  Northshire towns and the fringes of Rutland County.

The purpose of Neighbor to Neighbor is to bring together dedicated volunteers to help the elderly, disabled and housebound remain independent and in their own homes for as long as possible.

The program addresses isolation and loneliness by scheduling social events that nurture friendships and build community, helping to keep our care recipients connected to each other, their volunteers and the community at large. All of our services are offered free of charge.

Since the program began in September 2004, 71 Neighbor to Neighbor volunteers have given over twelve thousnad hours of their time helping individuals in need.
